About CheckTrucking
CheckTrucking is an independent website that makes public records about U.S. trucking companies and freight brokers easier to search and read. It combines several datasets published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) — registration, operating authority, insurance filings, out-of-service orders, inspections and crashes — and shows the source and date of every section.
What we add
- Insurance and authority history in one place, including records from FMCSA’s legacy licensing system.
- A day-by-day record of changes we observe in FMCSA’s published files.
- Plain-language explanations of codes and forms.
- Free daily lists of new authorities, suspensions and out-of-service orders.
- A contact check that tells you whether a phone number or email matches a company’s FMCSA record, without showing the record.
What we do not do
- We do not rate, rank or recommend companies, and we do not calculate safety scores.
- We do not show email addresses, company officers’ names, or cell phone and fax numbers.
- For companies that appear to be owned by an individual, we do not show the street address or phone number.
- We do not file forms or offer registration services.
